Abstract

The Fire Department, responsible for fire prevention and handling, requires assurance of safety for its personnel. Firefighters need appropriate and reliable protection during firefighting, necessitating the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). PPE consists of various components that must be worn to protect the entire body of the firefighters. If any part of the PPE is damaged or not functioning properly, it must be reported immediately due to its critical importance. A quick response to PPE validation is crucial. This study focuses on implementing push notifications with REST to develop a system that efficiently sends push notifications using a prototyping development approach. This approach ensures that every aspect of the model aligns with user needs and functions optimally. Push notifications are used to convey important information about PPE that requires quick response. The results of this study indicate that implementing push notifications with REST for reporting firefighters' PPE provides significant outcomes.
