Abstract

This study was conducted by taking skincare selection data for oily skin types from respondents, especially students who use skincare. In this study, there is a problem in determining skincare that is suitable for oily skin types, so this study uses the Profile matching method. With the calculation of the Profile Matching method, where there will be core factors and secondary factors, then the results of the calculation produce a ranking that will be the answer to which skincare product is right for oily skin. So from the calculation of this study, it produces the right skincare product for oily skin types. The purpose of this study is to help recommend the right skincare for oily skin types. The results of the evaluation of the Profile Matching method calculation show that Wardah is a skincare product that is suitable for oily facial skin types with a value of 4.485 with a product test using the Kendall tau correlation of 0.4 with a moderate meaning. So from the calculation in this study, the correlation produces skincare products that are suitable for oily skin using the profile matching method is significant.
