Abstract
Traffic accidents caused by driver errors remain a common problem on the roads. Factors such as fatigue, alcohol influence, and speeding continue to be the main causes of road incidents. Based on these issues, a model for regulating distance and speed has been developed to optimize road user safety and reduce the number of traffic accidents. Using the Arduino Uno microcontroller as automatic control, this model employs fuzzy logic methods, with a line follower and infrared sensors to detect the vehicle's path. Additionally, it uses ultrasonic sensors to scan objects in front and provides an audible warning through a buzzer. The output is displayed on an LCD to monitor the driver's surroundings. The research method used is fuzzy logic with input from the distance to the object in front. Defuzzification is then performed, resulting in speed and output. Testing was conducted by placing a remote-control car in front of the autonomous car at distances ranging from very far (100 cm) to close (15 cm).
